| How to Buy a Ticket It's as easy as buying an airline ticket, and sometimes easier. |
|
Depending on when and where you board, you have up to 5 options. If you live in or near any of the following cities in the Texas Eagle network, you can reserve your seat and purchase your ticket from an Amtrak station agent.
Call Amtrak Reservations at 1-800-USA-RAIL. An Amtrak reservations agent can help you reserve your trip, and you can pay with a major credit card. Then pick up your tickets at the closest Amtrak station, or have your tickets delivered by mail. (For tickets by mail, please reserve at least 10 days in advance.) Try Amtrak Internet Reservations at tickets.amtrak.com--or use the Fare Finder form at the upper right corner of this page! Plan your trip, select your trains, and pay for your fare with a major credit card. Amtrak will issue you a confirmation number that you can use to pick up your tickets at a staffed station, or have your tickets sent by mail or air express. Any travel agent that can issue airline tickets can also book travel on Amtrak. Travel agents are also a good resource for hotel and rental car reservations. If you are boarding at a station not staffed by Amtrak, you may pay for your ticket on board at no extra charge, with cash or a major credit card. But you must reserve your trip in advance--by calling 1-800-USA-RAIL. |
