Did you know...
Called "La Petite Roche" by early French explorers, Little Rock became the territorial capital in 1821. As the train enters the station, the dome of the State Capitol building can be seen on the hillside to the south. Little Rock Union Depot, built in 1921 after fire destroyed the earlier station, was once acclaimed in Ripley's "Believe It or Not" as the largest train station in the nation served by only one railroad.
