Like all Amtrak trains, the Texas Eagle depends on a federal subsidy to maintain operations. In recent years, Congress has set and voted on Amtrak's appropriation one year at a time. Generally this process begins in the spring. For a list of congressional representatives--House and Senate--for Amtrak stations by state, select it from the list in the left margin.
